About the Bowls Club

Set in the heart of the glorious Cotswolds, Painswick calls itself the ‘Queen of the Cotswolds’ – and our bowling green lives up to the title.

Whether you’re after friendly competition, social roll-ups, or just fancy trying something new, we’d love to see you at the green. Members range from 8 to 80+, and everyone’s welcome – beginners especially.

Never played before? No problem. We’ll lend you everything you need and show you the basics. Just turn up in flat-soled shoes and we’ll do the rest.

The green’s in excellent shape, we play regular friendly matches (including our popular Village Inter Street Bowls Competition), and we’re always happy to host touring teams.

Find us behind the Painswick Centre on Bisley Street, or just approach any member you see at the green – we’re a friendly bunch.
